Due to COVID-19 precautions, our Laboratory has taken additional actions to protect your patients and our employees. To ensure the safety of our employees and to determine the eligibility for you to send a patient to our Laboratory, we will be pre-screening your patients by phone when their appointment is scheduled. Additionally, we will screen your patients once they arrive at the laboratory. The following policies have been implemented

  • No companion will be allowed access into the laboratory unless it is medically necessary. If a companion is medically necessary, they are required to wear a face mask upon arrival. The companion must also be screened.
  • The patient will be asked to check-in by phone upon arrival to the laboratory and to remain in their vehicle during the pre-screening process. The Patient Screening questions will be asked prior to admittance into the facility. Patient’s temperature will be scanned upon arrival. Anyone who has a temperature of over 100 degrees will be asked to leave and to reschedule at their own convenience.
  • Due to limited PPE supplies, we ask that the patient please bring their own mask.
  • The patient must wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival into the facility.
  • If using our restroom facilities, the patient must follow hand washing protocols.
  • The patient must follow all safety protocols established by Triad.

*** During the custom shade appointment, our Technicians will be wearing the proper PPE. All items and surfaces will be disinfected after each appointment using CaviCide.

Triad's Custom Shade Protocol:

  • Office or patient calls lab to make appointment (no bleaching 2 weeks prior).
  • Lab will ask pre-screening questions.
  • Once patient arrives in the parking area, they will need to call and inform Customer Service of their arrival. Patient should remain in the car. Once we are prepared to accept the patient, we will call.
  • Lab will perform an on-site screening.
  • Utilization of Vita Easy Shade for shade matching.
  • Visualization by Technician with porcelain shade tabs using Smile Lite.
  • Utilization of mouth retractors (non-harmful).
  • Digital photography utilizing dual flash.
  • Santizition of all surfaces using CaviCide.

A Friendly Reminder Before Arriving To A Custom Shade Appointment At Our Laboratory:

In order to achieve an optimal shading outcome, below are a few things to keep in mind when scheduling the appointment.
  • Due to the dehydration of the teeth, the patient should wait at least 24 hours after being anesthetized before a custom shade is taken.
  • If the patient is bleaching, please wait a minimum of two weeks after completing the bleaching process before a custom shade is taken.
