CUSTOM SHADE APPOINTMENTS
For your convenience, Triad Dental Studio is equipped with a state of the art shading room. Shade matching is an essential part of creating natural looking restorations. A Custom Shade appointment allows our technicians to customize your restoration and provide you with a beautiful smile that you deserve. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday at 10am and 2pm, with an average duration of 20-30 minutes.
TO ACHIEVE THE BEST SHADE POSSIBLE
- Patients should wait at least 24 hours after being anesthetized before scheduling a custom shade appointment, due to potential dehydration of the teeth
- For patients undergoing bleaching, a minimum two-week waiting period after completing the bleaching process is advised before having a custom shade taken.

- Utilize Vita Easy Shade for precise shade matching.
- Allow the technician to visualize shade using porcelain shade tabs.
- Consider shade light for assessing the smile line.
- Employ digital photography with dual flash for accurate documentation.
*** During the custom shade appointment, our Technicians will be wearing the proper PPE. All items and surfaces will be disinfected after each appointment using CaviCide.
A Friendly Reminder Before Arriving To A Custom Shade Appointment At Our Laboratory:
- Due to the dehydration of the teeth, the patient should wait at least 24 hours after being anesthetized before a custom shade is taken.
- If the patient is bleaching, please wait a minimum of two weeks after completing the bleaching process before a custom shade is taken.
